Race Day will be June 1, 2014

Race Day Schedule 

 6:30    T-shirt pick up & onsite registration opens

 7:00    Expo opens

 8:00    Kids for the Cure Race

 8:15    Welcome Ceremony & Survivor March

 9:00    5k & 1 Mile run/walk

 

 Race course is through Downtown Sioux City with the start and finish line at the Sioux City Convention Center.

Shirt & Bib Pick Up 

·       Thursday, May 29 4:00pm-7:00pm and Friday, May 30 8:30am-4:30pm:  All Participants including Team Captains are able to pick up their t-shirts and bibs. Pick up will be at the Susan G. Komen Siouxland office located at 700 4th Street Suite 220.  


·       Saturday, May 31:  Pick up will be from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. at the Sioux City Convention Center located at 801 4th Street, Sioux City, Iowa.

·        Pick up on Race Day: If you still have not picked up your t-shirt, please arrive early on Race Day.

T-Shirts are not guaranteed to all participants for Race Day but it is our goal to ensure that everyone does receive a t-shirt.  In the unfortunate event that we run out of t-shirts prior to the Race, we will place a second order and t-shirts will be made available a few weeks after the Race.  To ensure you get a t-shirt for Race Day, you are encouraged to pay the extra $10 to have your t-shirt mailed to you.  The deadline for registering for t-shirt mailing is May 21, 2014.

 

Prizes & Awards 

Awards will be given to the top three competitive/timed men and women in the 5K event.


Fundraising awards will be given to the top 10 fundraisers. Anyone competing for the fundraising awards must have all of their donations turned in to the Komen office by June 30, 2014. We will announce the leaders in the fundraising categories on Race Day. 

 

The #1 fundraiser will win the Grand Prize of an American Airlines ticket to the destination of their choice within the continental United States.

 

Team Awards will be given for the following:

·        Most Funds Raised by a Team 

·        Largest Overall Team as registered by May 31. 

·        Spirit Award

·        Best Team T-shirt (must be turned in by 7:30a.m. on Race Day)

 

Deadlines  

 

May 21           T-shirt/bib mailing registration deadline

May 30           Competitive runners must be registered by 5:00 P.M.

June 1            Team t-shirts must be turned in for the best shirt contest by 7:30 A.M.

June 30          All donations must be received at the Komen office to be eligible for fundraising awards.
