Race Day Schedule 

 6:30    T-shirt pick up & onsite registration opens

 7:00    Expo opens

 8:00    Kids for the Cure Race

 8:20    Welcome Ceremony & Survivor March

 9:00    5k & 1 Mile run/walk

10:30  Awards Ceremony

 

Race course is through Downtown Sioux City with the start and finish line at the Tyson Events Center.

Shirt & Bib Pick Up 

·        May 7-8:  Team Captains Only  Captains are to pick up their teams t-shirts and bibs on May 7 and May 8.  These are the only days that teams can pickup their entire teams' t-shirts and bibs.  Individuals are discouraged from picking up their t-shirts and bibs on these days.  Pick up will be at the Komen Siouxland Office located at 700 4th St. 2nd Floor, Sioux City, Iowa from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. 

 

     Team Captain packets are available here.

 

 

·        May 9, 10, 11: Individuals will be able to pick up their t-shirts and bibs.   Pick up will be at the Komen Siouxland Office located at 700 4th St. 2nd Floor, Sioux City, Iowa from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

 

·        May 12: Pick up will be at the Tyson Events Center box office area from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.

 

·        Pick up on Race Day: If you still have not picked up your t-shirt, please arrive early on Race Day.

 

T-Shirts are not guaranteed to all participants for Race Day but it is our goal to ensure that everyone does receive a t-shirt.  In the unfortunate event that we run out of t-shirts prior to the Race, we will place a second order and t-shirts will be made available a few weeks after the Race.  To ensure you get a t-shirt for Race Day, you are encouraged to pay the extra $10 to have your t-shirt mailed to you.  The deadline for registering for t-shirt mailing is May 1.

 

Prizes & Awards 

Awards will be given to the top three competitive/timed men, women and survivors in the 5K event.

Fundraising awards will be given to the top 10 fundraisers. Anyone competing for the fundraising awards must have all of their donations turned in to the Komen office by May 31, 2012. We will announce the leaders in the fundraising categories on Race Day. 

 

The #1 fundraiser will win the Grand Prize of an American Airlines ticket to the destination of their choice within the continental United States.

 

Team Awards will be given for the following:

·        Most Funds Raised by a Team 

·        Largest Overall Team as registered by May 4th.  

·        Spirit Award

·        Best Team T-shirt (must be turned in by 7:30 on Race Day)

 

Deadlines  

 

May 1            T-shirt/bib mailing registration deadline

May 4            Team Member registrations closes

May 11              Competitive runners must be registered by 5:00 P.M.

May 13              Team t-shirts must be turned in for the best shirt contest by 7:30 A.M.

May 31              All donations must be received at the Komen office to be eligible for fundraising awards.
